Greenwich Village’s Top Steakhouse – 4 Charles Prime Rib New York

It isn’t easy to find a steakhouse that outdoes all of New York, especially Manhattan’s, competitive approach to creating the perfect culinary experience. We’ve tasted and gathered innumerable experiences at steakhouses throughout the city and 4 Charles Prime Rib remains on our top 10 list.

4 Charles Prime Rib is an old school styled intimate steakhouse hidden away in the West Village of Manhattan. It is mostly frequented at late nights after 11:00PM and is more often full than not. The menu boasts an impressive range of meats ranging from prime steaks to fresh seafood and has some truly exceptional deserts on the menu. Wine and cocktails are the most popular choice of drinks when dining here and its no surprise that they make some of the meanest mezcal mixes we’ve had in the Village.

With a menu that has an intriguing range of Entrees, you’ll find it tough not to go for the classic cheeseburger (it’s been rated as one of New York’s best burgers by Grubstreet) but we’d recommend you be adventurous and go for the Dry Aged Bone-In Ribeye Steak, you won’t be disappointed!

A warm, cosy and inviting bustle surrounded by brick walls, good conversation and huge steak portions, what’s not to like!

The quintessential culinary experience of New York City is almost always referred to as being centered around steaks and meat so it is no surprise that we’re recommending a meat heavy restaurant. Though 4 Charles Prime Rib is mainly a steakhouse, be sure to also try some of their seafood options as well as the much loved “Cacio Pepe Carbonara Pasta”, a delicious plate of thick-cut bacon, toasted black pepper, pecorino and bucatini.

Its no surprise that after a delicious steak meal, you’ll be craving an equally satisfying closer to the meal. Here comes the best part of the meal, the desert! Pictured here is the infamous Sundae Royale – three scoops of delicious ice cream accompanied by hot fudge and assorted candies!

4 Charles Prime Rib remains one of the most beloved steakhouses of the West Village and with so many culinary establishments in the neighborhood, it is always hard to make your mind up on where to go!
